Overview

The Configuration Management Structures course provides the details associated with that element of CM known as Identification. It begins with various industry standard views of what “identification” is and continues with detailed views of product structuring in various environments. The course also addresses baselines, identifiers, re-identification and more. Additionally, the elements of CM known as Status Accounting and Verification and Audit will be discussed in this course. We review various industry standard definitions of these elements as well. In all  cases we will address best practices for implementing all the above various elements of CM.  The role of automated tools in helping manage various aspects of these elements of CM will also be discussed.  Students attend this course will get a certificate of attendance signed by CMPIC and the University of Houston.

Certification Requirements & CEUs

Students who attend CMPIC Courses 1, 2, 3, & 4 and successfully pass the exams will receive “CMPIC Certification” designating they have passed an approved course of study in Configuration Management Principles and Implementation (CMPIC). They will also receive 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the University of Houston after successful completion of all four courses. CEUs are approved through the Division of Continuing Education and are University of Houston CEUs. No CEUs are given for Course 1-4 if taken individually, all 4 must be taken to be granted University CEUs.
